- This is an example of an elegant Christening gown that was made from a wedding gown. The lace and gimp work trim were from a short nylon type baptismal dress that the baby's mother had worn. The front yolk buttons were also from the wedding dress. Additional new lace was used at the neckline and on the bottom of the sleeves. The amount of available fabric and fabric content of the wedding gown are major factors in deciding on the Christening gown design.
This is an example of a blouse that could be made for an adult. This blouse was made of a cotton and linen blend and features nine lace shaped diamonds that have pintucks inside the lace shaping. It also has hemstitching on the collar and front pintucks. These design ideas could be incorporated in any christening gown.
- This item is not for sale as it is Chloe's very special seventh birthday present. It is an example of a custom made costume that can be made in your child's favorite color.
