Daygowns can be used for Christening, Baptism, or Dedication gowns. They are basically a gown that isn't usually as ornate, full or long as a standard Christening gown. Daygowns have enough length to come to approximately 1-2 inches above to 2-3 inches below the feet. Fullness at the bottom of the gown is generally in the range of 45 to 60 inches dending on size. Daygowns make a wonderful heirloom garment to bring baby home from the hospital or for first portraits. Color can be added in bands, pippings, collars or embroideries. This particular daygown is a custom made garment that is a close proximity of a gown my client already owned. She needed a second daygown for baptism of twins. Through the miracles of digital photography and accurate measuring, we were able to make a second gown very similar to the first gown. The fancy stiching on the yolk and the laces were slightly different.

Prices for day gowns made of 100% cotton batiste start at $125.
