Rose Marie Christening Gown
  • Rose Marie Christening Gown features:
  • Round yolk trimmed with entredeux and laces
  • Short puffed sleeves
  • Fancy band of embroidered insertions and folded tucked fabric
  • Bottom finished with cotton embroidered edging

Rose Marie is a femine gown that features cotton insertions and edgings in addition to cotton laces on the round yolk and puff sleeves. The gown and slip are made of 100% cotton batiste. The bottom edges of the yolk, the neck line and the bottom of the sleeves all have entredeux. Then the gathered lace (neck and yolk) and ribbon slot lace and gathered lace (sleeves) is attached to the entredeux. The back of the yolk closes with buttons and button holes. The puffed sleeves have ribbon ties through ribbon slot lace to control the fullness. The wide fancy band consists of a row of embroidered cotton insertion, a band with 3 folded tucks, another row of insertion, and then a row of cotton embroidered edging. The entire fancy band and edging is approximately 10 inches wide. The gown is approximately 29 inches long and the bottom diameter is approximately 50 inches. Cotton or Venice laces could be used instead of cotton insertion and edging.

Pricing for this gown in 100% cotton batiste fabric with the same embroidered trim as shown (as long as they are available) starts at $300. Use of other insertions or laces will change the price.
